The metre gauge lines radiating from Mirpur Khas formed the western end of the Jodhpur State Railway prior to partition. The metre gauge previously continued to Hyderabad but this was converted to broad gauge in 1965. In 2006 the line north to Nawabshah was closed and that east to Khokhropar coverted to broad gauge and reconnected through to India.
