All pictures below cover normal operations on the NSB or its forerunners, excluding enthusiast railtours. There are 3 pictures of the Jæren line at Stavanger when it was still an isolated 3ft 6in gauge railway prior to its conversion to standard gauge in 1944. Also there a few shots on the Valdresbanen a couple of years after it was taken over by the NSB in 1937. This line between Eina and Fagernes was eventually closed in 1989. Some of the pictures on the Bergen line in 1939 are taken in poor lighting conditions but are included becauae of their historic nature.
