This gallery covers the main line from Mombasa to Nairobi, the former marching ground of the 59th class 4-8-2+2-8-4 Garratts. Diesels replaced them in the late 1970s but the metre gauge line itself was largely replaced by a new standard gauge one in 2017. Soda ash traffic from the Magadi Soda Co. still uses the old line to reach Mombasa.
