World Railways Photograph Catalogue - Restoration & Archiving Trust

Although the first couple of picures are on the line from Buenos Airea to La Plata, the vast majority of the photographs in this gallery are on the extreme northern end of the system between Jujuy and La Quiaca opened to the latter in 1908. At first this included a rack operated section between Leon and Volcan. Most of the pictures here were taken in 1976 immediately prior to dieselisation, with closure north of Jujuy following not long after.
