These pages are being set up to entertain & inform the world at large and provide a platform upon which to display the work of many photographers both alive & deceased in a manner that makes it widely accessible at little or no cost to those who wish to study it. There are of course costs involved in running this site & providing the digital equipment to continue the work. you to an index for pictures in that country. Some of the thumbnail pages within these
galleries may well become quite large as time progresses. The country names reflect the
political realities around the time that the photographs were taken and in some cases
therefore do not reflect current names or boundaries
Please remember that the Trust holds the copyright of all the photographs on this site
and whilst you are free to use these for personal use no commercial must be made of
these without the prior written consent of the Trust. Please feel free to contact us if
you have any additional information or corrections regarding the captions to any of
these photographs.The intention is to provide translations of the captions into the native
language of the country concerned for some of the photo galleries. The availability of any

The Tram systems button above provides access to pages of tram photographs taken in the following countries for which no railway photographs have been uploaded at present - Austria, Canada, Germany, Jugoslavia, Roumania & United States. As railway photo galleries are set up for these countries, the tram pictures will be moved to the country concerned & ultimately this button should become redundant. Tramway galleries are included within the sections for the following countries: Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal & Spain.
